What is CHIKARA ViewPort?
ViewPort is an offline-first workspace for creating, editing, previewing and packaging websites and web apps. It runs entirely in your browser and can itself be installed as an app.
Do I need an account?
No. ViewPort has no account system, no login and no cloud sync. Your projects are stored locally on the device you're using.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, once loaded. Installing ViewPort as a PWA gives it an offline app shell, so you can keep working without a connection.
Can I get my project out of ViewPort?
Yes. Export a complete ZIP (including real binary assets like images) or a single HTML file at any time, ready to host anywhere.
What can I build with it?

Is my code safe to preview?
Previews run inside a sandboxed frame that cannot access ViewPort's own stored projects, so opening someone else's project can't put your other work at risk.
